Perch are quite plentiful
in Lake Erie and can be caught throughout the year. The schools
of Perch often start gathering after spawning in the Spring and
peak in the late Fall before ice covers the lake. It is hard to
beat either drifting or anchoring for these tasty fish while each
angler fishes with a double hook rig baited with fresh minnows on
the ultra light rod. This technique is easy for a novice, but astute
angler to master in a single day of fishing.
While fishing for Perch we may catch Smallmouth Bass, Muskie, Rock
Bass, Walleye and many more, as they are all interested in what
you're offering. It is not uncommon to reach either a Michigan or
Ohio limit for Perch during the length of a charter.
