Walleye
and Perch Charters in Monroe, Michigan
|
Shortly after the ice leaves the western basin, we begin fishing
for Walleye near the mouth of the Maumee River - a major spawning
location for Walleye. This is one time of year when you can catch
trophy fish. We fish with blade baits and hair jigs presented
slowly to the fish below the boat.
In early May we switch from jigging to trolling. This method
allows us to search out Walleye schools and keep the maximum number
of lures in the feeding zone. This is also the time of year when
Perch fishing begins to heat up.
In 2011, we will be fishing out of Toledo Beach Marina, south
of Monroe, through the end of July.
